Artist Review: The Script

Ryan, my friendly radio scout, has garnered a song for me of his interest- "The Man Who Can't Be Moved". Well, the name was interesting, and since I don't think the rest of the bands in this world (other than Travis) would be able to name a song like this. So I assumed it was a new band, probably currently overhyped.

And so it was overhyped. The Man Who Can't Be Moved is apathetically yearning, and at the same time, boring. Well, the second verse was rather interesting, the singer started a conversation between himself and was attempting to do a sing-talk swagger. It didn't work (it was bad) but at least it caught my attention.

Those who say "Oh, the lyrics are the one that makes the song nice". The lyrics are basically the same-old same-old "I'm still waiting for my love" story, except he uses rather cool contexts and situations to talk them in, but fails to make any vocabulary extend past the mindset of a four-year old.

Mathematical Conclusion:
30-year old Jonas Brothers + Coldplay's Silly Yearn-Singing + Beyonce = The Script.
