Why the Hell Do You Listen To These Bands? (and Not the Rest)

Here's a list of bands you probably listen to, and if you listen to them, I recommend a band you should listen to instead, because they sound the same, and they're probably twice as good as they'll ever be.

IF YOU LISTEN TO: Secondhand Serenade
YOU SHOULD INSTEAD BE LISTENING TO: Dashboard Confessional
WHY?: I don't care how talented this one man guy band artist thing he seems to be. So what, he plays all the instruments, cool. But he has no creativity, he makes boring songs, so what if the lyrics make you cry, they're still boring and probably used before. Get Dashboard Confessional, where even though they may not be as talented, they're still a thousand times better.

IF YOU LISTEN TO: Hillsong United
YOU SHOULD BE INSTEAD LISTENING TO: Switchfoot, Sixpence None The Richer
WHY?: Don't get me wrong, Hillsong United's a good band and all, but there's greener pastures elsewhere. Sixpence None The Richer is one band that no other Christian music has gone further than, and Switchfoot has the funk and soul to inspirational music.

IF YOU LISTEN TO: Michelle Branch, Vanessa Carlton
YOU SHOULD BE INSTEAD LISTENING TO: Natalie Imbruglia
WHY?: I have to tell you something. Natalie Imbruglia is more than twice as talented as Michelle Branch and Vanessa Carlton combined. Then why are those two more famous, you ask? That's because people are deaf and oversaw Imbruglia. That sucks.

IF YOU LISTEN TO: Boys Like Girls, The Click Five, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, OneRepublic, We the Kings, etc..
YOU SHOULD BE INSTEAD LISTENING TO: The Format, The Early November
WHY?: Because bands like Boys Like Girls and Click Five have no creative input in them. They're simply making music to please the record labels so that they'll earn money. Not their true type of music. OneRepublic are being close to sellouts, Click Five already did. The Format, on the other hand, have one of the saddest stories a band could ever have. Same as Early November. These bands have way more creative freedom and talent than the rest of the pop bands out there, and you should get to know them pronto.

IF YOU LISTEN TO: Soulja Boy, Flo Rida, T-Pain, Timbaland
YOU SHOULD BE INSTEAD LISTENING TO: Public Enemy, Jay-Z
WHY?: Because are simply the same as what I've mentioned up there for Boys Like Girls and Click Five. They're sellouts, have no almost no creative input and are just making crowd pleasers. Public Enemy is one of the best hip hoppers you'll ever find, and Jay-Z's new album American Gangster has been pretty much the best hip hop album of 2007.
