Songwriting Lessons with Bryan 1

Lesson 1: Make Love

Yes, all the songs in the world has to have love in it. You know, maybe about that certain special someone, make it pretty mushy, or not. Or maybe you've fucked up your relationship, or the counterpart dumped you. Nasty or nice. Whatever, make it about love.

Because people are you know, just attracted to it. "I can relate to that" or "Hmmm this is so sad!" While I don't know why people are so interested in such, I'll have to say you'll immediately be famous with this hyper conventional way of writing.

Hey! Feel a song's story is too similar to another rather more famous one? No worries, you copycat! No one cares these days. Even your daily know-it-not teenagers can tell more than one difference in Check Yes Juliet and the Great Escape's lyrics. You may not be able to, but it's okay, I don't blame you for that.

Wanna write a song? Make it about love. Because you know you have no choice to, the average asshole and the basic bitch of the modern society, sigh, is all the rage about love these days. You gotta Rage with the Love.
