May Singles in Review

Let's have a look at some of the more eye opening singles of May.

I Kissed a Girl - Katy Perry

While her other single (Ur So Gay, which makes fun of emos, not gays, in the chorus "You're so gay/and you don't even like boys" reminds me of how I make fun of my brother) seemed to promise lots of Lily Allen action in darker tones, this song seemed to be bore. Lyrics totally predictable, and you won't have much fun listening to this. Prefect song to show that you're a bloody rocker/slightly homosexual/disco queer chick. Or if you're a boy, wait, why are you listening to it if you're a boy?

When I Grow Up - Pussycat Dolls

(in the sense of Ur So Gay) Gay.

Take a Bow - Rihanna

Rihanna reaches new heights of sensational boring.

Viva la Vida - Coldplay (30 second preview only)

Interesting, but Violet Hill's a slight better. Check out their album, in stores now.

Summertime - New Kids on the Block

This proves that boybands aren't (in the sense of Ur So Gay) gay. And that strangely familiar Bittersweet Symphony like harmonious swings, interesting.
